Sea
We are interested in marine resources — particularly algae-derived ingredients — and in the scientific work needed to understand where they can add value.
Foundation
Marine innovation from the Azores
SEAVITEC brings marine science, health and technology together to move knowledge from research towards application. Our first expression is Seablom, an Azorean marine skincare brand.
Starting with skin
SEAVITEC began in the Azores with a practical question: what can marine knowledge become when it is brought closer to everyday life?
The first answer is Seablom: three 50 mL skincare products inspired by the Atlantic. From this foundation, we are building capability in marine biotechnology, broader health applications, advanced dermocosmetic delivery and technology that can support research and product development.
Read our storyOur starting point
In the Azores, ocean, volcanic land and biodiversity are part of daily life. This proximity shapes the questions we ask about marine resources and the products they can inspire.
Our direction
Sea supplies the questions. Health defines where they can matter. Technology helps turn evidence into better decisions and products.
We are interested in marine resources — particularly algae-derived ingredients — and in the scientific work needed to understand where they can add value.
FoundationSeablom applies this direction to skincare today. Future work may extend into wider health and wellbeing applications.
Current applicationDigital tools and AI can help organise evidence, interpret data and support product development. This is part of our longer-term direction.
Future pathway
Our active brand
Seablom translates the Atlantic into three 50 mL skincare formulas. Its mission is to bring the purity and regenerative force of the ocean to the skin, combining science-led product development with more sustainable choices and support for marine conservation.
How ideas become products
We begin with the need, examine the evidence, bring in the right expertise and test what matters before translating it into a product.
Start with the person, problem or scientific question the idea must answer.
Examine ingredients, mechanisms, data and practical constraints.
Bring in the expertise, formulation work and testing the concept requires.
Turn the work into a product that performs and makes sense in daily life.
Work with us
We want to connect with researchers, laboratories, formulators, retailers, distributors and technology partners who can help turn marine knowledge into products with practical value.
